Our history
John Lewis Money is part of the John Lewis Partnership, which includes John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose. The origins of our company dates back to the 1860s when our founder John Spedan Lewis opened a shop at 132 Oxford Street, London in 1864.
In 2004, we launched the John Lewis Partnership Credit Card. Our insurance products followed in 2006 under the brand Greenbee, but our services were later rebranded as John Lewis Finance. In 2024, we marked a new era by changing our name to John Lewis Money.
